About Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue
On April 2, 2012, a group of seasoned rescuers united in memory of an animal lover, Justin Bartlett, who tragically lost his life at a young age, to form Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue.
With years of hands-on volunteer experience, a strong knowledge base, and research-driven processes, they built the largest foster-based rescue in the county—saving an average of 1,000 animals each year. Over time, they established a fleet of two adoption shuttles, a M.A.S.H Unit (Mobile Animal Surgical Hospital) , and even launched the county’s first rescue magazine, Rescue Tales.
Recognizing the urgent need for affordable veterinary care, the Justin Bartlett Animal Hospital was founded on May 28, 2015. Since then, it has served over 25,000 patients and performed 8,000+ spay/neuter surgeries, including many on the M.A.S.H Unit surgical unit, reaching economically disadvantaged areas at no cost to the public.

Our Mission
Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless dogs and cats who fall victim to shelter euthanasia by promoting adoption, spay/neuter, and the humane treatment of animals.
We work tirelessly to save pregnant and nursing animals, orphaned puppies and kittens, and any unwanted animal—whether sick or healthy. If there is an available foster home and sufficient funds, we ensure every rescued animal has the chance at a forever home.
Each animal in our care is placed in either a loving foster home or our rescue, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested, and given any necessary medical treatment.
Through our nonprofit veterinary hospital, we also provide affordable care to animals in our community, helping pet owners keep their companions healthy and loved.
Who We Are
