Event Volunteer
We hold adoption events around Palm Beach and Broward Counties on the weekends, and are adding adoption sites all the time. Walk dogs, entertain kittens, give puppies a clean pen to play in, collect donations, and talk to potential adopters…there are a multitude of ways to help!
Foster Parent
Open your heart and home to an animal in need! We are always in need of foster homes, because every time we have an open foster home…we are open to save another pet, that would have otherwise been euthanized. We will provide you with everything you need, and our foster coordinators are here to support you through fostering, the adoption process and beyond.
Be a Transport Driver
We’re always looking for volunteer drivers to help with rescue runs to nearby shelters, transport animals between our Royal Palm Beach and Greenacres locations, and drive to events. Your time behind the wheel can help save lives!
Become a Volunteer Dog Walker
If you love dogs and enjoy spending time outdoors, becoming a volunteer dog walker is a rewarding way to make a difference. Our shelter pups rely on volunteers like you to give them the daily exercise, fresh air, and loving interaction they need while they wait for their forever homes. As a dog walker, you’ll help our dogs burn off energy, learn good leash manners, and feel the joy of human companionship. You might take a leisurely stroll with a senior pup, enjoy a brisk walk with an energetic youngster, or spend a few minutes snuggling in the sunshine with a shy dog learning to trust again.
Whether you can commit to a regular schedule or just a few hours here and there, your time will directly improve the lives of our animals—and you might even find yourself falling in love along the way. No prior experience needed; we’ll provide training, support, and plenty of wagging tails to keep you motivated.
