Yale
Hi Kathy,
I'm sorry it has taken so long for me to share some updates with you guys. I have been pretty busy but I would love to share with you that Yale is now named Jax. He is very active and is still working on being potty trained but he has made really huge improvements from when we first brought him home. He is getting so big I can barely pick him up anymore. Last time we weighed him he weighed 30 pounds already! He hasn't been chewing on anything he isn't supposed to be chewing on yet like furniture, shoes, etc so I am hoping he doesn't start that haha. I signed him up for a barkbox subscription so each month he gets new fun toys to play with which he loves them all very equally. He can't seem to choose a favorite toy. He is very treat motivated. He picks up things very quickly. He knows how to sit and stay for right now and he snores very loud!
Yolo
This is Jan and Rick Marchese, Mattie's (aka) Yolo's adopted family. Mattie has been
such a joyful addition to our family. She's growing so fast. Mattie is very smart
and learns tricks quickly and has done extremely well with house training. Everyone
that meets her absolutely loves her. One request I have from Justin Bartlett rescue
is that I would really like to see how Mattie (Yolo's) brothers and sisters have
progressed. We have followed these sweet little dumpster rescued pups since the day
they were brought into Coral Springs animal hospital. If the other adopted families
would like to keep in touch I would love it.
Yipsy
Hi Kathy,
Thank you for following up on our baby. We renamed her to Kallie and she is doing
great! She is such a smart and sweet pup! We are more in love with her each day! She
knows sit, shake, and she waits for a prayer before going in to eat her food.
We bring her to many places and she absolutely loves all people. We were actually
babysitting today and were so impressed with how well she did with kids- even a loud
one and a half year old.
She gets along great with Kahlua, our 6 year old min-pin, and all dogs for that
matter. She is such a blessing to us and we are so glad you chose us to be her
"fur"ever home.
Yanni
Hi Kathy!
I'm so glad you reached out
and I'm more than happy to give you a puppy update! "Yanni" now
"Dodger" has been an amazing addition to our family. I have always
rescued young adult dogs but this was my first time rescuing a puppy. I had no
idea what I was getting myself into and very was nervous at the beginning. This
experience has been just wonderful. Dodger is such an great boy, I now couldn't
imagine our family without him.
Dodger's foster mother
Michelle was great and told us everything about his personality before we took
him home. I wanted to make sure he would fit in well with my other dogs. She
gave me tons of tips on how to take care of a puppy and even assured me that if
it didn't work out she would take him back. I texted her in the beginning a lot
and she was always there with kind word and helpful advice. I was very impressed
with the food she had him on. I have always fed my dogs top of the line food
and couldn't believe he was being fed high quality, grain free food in his
foster home. I did not expect this as I assumed most rescues don't have the
resources. I thought this was a great thing to give this baby a healthy start
to his life.
Dodger's follow up exams at
Justin Bartlett Animal Hospital have also been wonderful. The entire staff have
been loving and helpful to me, my son and most importantly Dodger. The doctors
have all given me advice on how to continue to care for him and have been
patient when I ask lots of questions. Not to mention their prices are at least
half if not more of what other vets charge! I will be taking all three of my
dogs there from now on.
As for Dodger, all I can
say is he's an amazing soul and a wonderful puppy. I keep thinking I must have
some really good rescue dog karma because the universe gave me the sweetest,
best puppy ever created. He loved his new home and his new family right from
the beginning. He annoys his big brother Koda and his sister Kiyah but they
quickly accepted him into our pack. He loves his big yard, rolling in the grass
and sleeping next to his mommy in bed. He is extremely loving and affectionate,
loves toys and bones and most of all playing with his two legged brother Ryder.
His favorite thing so far has been going hiking on trails in the woods off the
leash with his family.
I can't thank you enough
for rescuing this baby at four days old and giving him a loving, healthy start
to his life. I'm thankful I had enough room in my heart to give another
beautiful dog a loving home. I did not plan on getting a puppy and I certainly
did not need a third dog. What I didn't realize was that we all needed Dodger
and more importantly he needed us. Thank you for giving us this sweet,
beautiful soul to share our world with.
All of our love,
Angie, Ryder, Doger, Kiyah
and Koda
Yogi
Yogi is the best pup we have ever had. obedient, he sits, stays, does not chew,
plays now and is very loving to everyone in the house. He has cataracts which will
be corrected next week. We could not have asked for a better match.
Thanks
Charles Vinez
