Hello Kathy,
Vesta aka Mia is doing great.
She starts puppy classes this month. She is already 10 pounds and loves her doggie toys.

Viola
Hi Kathy,
Thanks for the follow up on Viola. I am happy to report that this little girl is adjusting really well. Her new name is Claire. She is playful and sweet and fits right in. She loves going on walks and to the park, and loves to snuggle with us. Our biggest worry was how she would get along with our elderly cat who has a lot of health problems and gets stressed very easily. From the moment she entered the house Claire must have felt that it was right to leave the cat alone. Now both happily share the same couch, sitting on opposite ends - something I thought could never happen. Claire loves our two guinea pigs Fifi and Bambi. She greets them every morning and showers them with love and kisses. Claire has made many friends in the neighborhood - both human and dogs. Her best friend is our neighbor's Labrador. Clair seems to prefer bigger dogs to dogs her own size. She has been to the vet and is going back next week for her booster shots. In her adoption papers it said that her rabies shot papers would be mailed to us. Could you please follow up and please let me know when we can expect them?
I have attached 2 pictures of Claire doing her favorite thing - running and playing with us in the park.
Thank you for bringing Claire into our lives. She brings a lot of joy and happiness to our family! Little did I know that a trip to PetsMart for guinea pig food would end up with a puppy that is so loving and sweet. :-)

Violet
Hi Kathy,
Violet (Ebony) is doing great! She's a sweetheart! We love her so much and are very happy with her. She's grown so much and now weighs 6 pounds! She gets along great with my other dogs, they all love to play together. So adorable!
Thank you for your follow up.
Regards,
Micol
Velvet
Hi Kathy,
Thanks so much for the follow up letter. We LOVE Velvet & all are doing well (she was our foster, so already adjusted). She's getting "big" at about 5 pounds & has had "playdates" with 2 sisters - Violet, who is now "Ebony" and Vendy, who is still your foster & staying with us temporarily. Great experience working with JBAR!! You do great things, and I try to promote you to anyone interested in getting a dog/cat.
Will try to send pics through email from my phone.
Thanks!
Vic
Vic, now Mugsy, is a joy. He's been the best little puppy from Day 1. Slept through the night from the beginning, very good appetite, quick to train, calm, very sweet, loves everyone - socializes with other people and dogs most every day with great enthusiasm.
First few weeks battled skin issues. While substantially better, he is still scratching some. He's due for his 4-mo shots next week when my vet will reassess the skin situation. He's had multiple baths for the mange, shots for infection and itch, etc. Changing food for the 2nd time hoping for lasting improvement.
I'll have to send a photo from my Blackberry as I do not have a recent one on my laptop. He's probably about 30 pounds now. A beautiful boy - people stop all the time to ask his breed. Need to come up with something creative and AKC-like. While his Mom was black lab mix with maybe Shepherd (many thanks to Foster Mom Robin, he got together with his mom a couple of times after adoption and that was incredibly wonderful to watch), my vet thinks the father was likely SharPei and Rottweiller. Anyway, he has the most interesting face and beautiful markings.
My family and the neighbors adore him. He's developed a particularly special attachment to a young boy across our street, which is wonderful for both of them.
Best regards,
Karen Steele
