Elliot
Hello Kathy,
I just wanted to update you on the life long journey that Cody
(formerly Elliot) ad myself have just started on together. What can I
say... he is one crazy pup!
Cody's 5 favorite things are 1) his Batman squeaky chew toy; 2) a 9"
dog bone that is almost as big as him; 3) chewing on peoples hands; 4)
playing fetch; and 5) cuddling (which is definitely his favorite out
of all of them).
He is such a loveable puppy! I could tell from day one, actually
within the first 5 minutes when he fell asleep in my lap while filling
out his paperwork, that Cody was going to be a cuddle bug. No matter
if we are on the couch, going to bed, or sitting on the park bench you
can find him cuddled up either in my lap or with his head on me. If he
is not cuddling he is giving kisses. Cody is such a sweetheart and he
knows how to melt a heart.
Although new to it, Cody loves going to the dog park. Since we live in
an apartment there is not a lot of room to run around, although we do
play fetch outside sometimes, so we usually go to the dog park a
couple times a week. It took a little time, but he quickly became
comfortable around the other small dogs, and he often antagonizes them
to run and play with him. It's not only small dogs that he plays with,
but he is also becoming friends with a couple of my friend's big dogs,
a Rhodesian Ridgeback and a Doberman Pincher. It's very funny watching
them interact together.
Cody is one very smart puppy. He is already crate trained, he is doing
very well with his house training (only having accidents when I
neglect to watch his clues better), and "come" and "sit" are the
newest commands that he has learned. Not only is he smart, but he is
very inquisitive. Cody loves getting into things and causing mischief.
It makes things very exciting around the home, and I love this crazy
little puppy.
Thank you and all of your volunteers for all that you do. It is
because of people like yourselves that happy endings like ours are
possible. I'm sure that Cody and I will see you guys at some of the
events that you put on, hopefully at the upcoming Abacoa one, and we
will definitely continue to follow you on Facebook and post updates
and pictures.
Sincerely,
Shawn and Cody
Eghan
Hi Kathy,
Eghan, now Ike, is doing absolutely great! He's my little buddy and such a pleasure to have around. He's only 5 lbs now and had a perfect wellness visit, everyone loves him! Thank you so much!
