Buster
Hi Kathy, Thanks for the e-mail about Buster who is now Henry. He is doing awesome. He doesn't know a stranger. All they are is friends he has yet to meet. All he wants is to be loved. Unfortunately he totally believes he is a lap dog. lol. Very active but we are lucky that we have several fenced acres at work where he gets to run 2 or 3 times a day. Goes to work every day with us. Before we adopted him I had concerns about how my 6 lb Papillion would react. Deana ( a close friend of 20 years) suggested we foster him for a week to see if it would work and if not she would pick him up. Within several hours I called her to set up the adoption. Both Henry and our family lucked out. He is nothing but love. A little bit of a chew baby but he is learning. I will try to send pictures but not very good at doing it. Will be seeing Deana tonight. Maybe she can help with that. Have a great day and Happy Thanksgiving

Thank you for the email. Bodie was a bit reserved when we first got him, but he shortly gained confidence and got comfortable at our house. His personality become more apparent.
Our children love him and enjoy playing with him, (sometimes I think they wear him out), but he really likes the attention.
We learned that he is incredibly fast and has unbelievable jumping skills. Overall, he is extremely athletic. He has a some anxiety when we leave the house, but that is getting better. He absolutely loves riding in the car and other dogs, (big and small). On occasion he has dog friends that come over to play with him, he is a well behaved playmate.
We consider Bodie a permanent member of our family and he is doing well. If we are home he is typically not more than two - three feet away from me, my husband or the kids, and is learning to follow commands and directions.
Thank you for rescuing Bodie, he was worth all of the rescue efforts and has found a happy place at our house.

Bobi
I adopted Bobi Sept 1st...and I must say he has been a joy. His playful ways and humility are pleasant attributes to his character. I must say - he still has the shelter mentality when it comes to eating. I have him on a strict schedule..and he inhales his food at every feeding. I purchased a slow feeder bowl by Martha Stewart & Co..My precious Bobi navigates his little nose thru the slow feeder to eat his food from what used to be 1 minute to now almost 2 minutes...we just laugh - because he loves to eat and there is a hearty belch afterwards. He is so faithful and I was so happy when he received his first grooming after the neutering...he looked brand new.
I truly enjoy Bobi and his quick learning of commands. We love to play with him when he has his toys because he becomes both excited and protective; as we get a friendly nibble on our hand when we try and take his rope or squeaky toy away from him. I wouldn't change Bobi for anything. He has truly adjusted well and when I get home and see his little head poking out through the blinds, it fills me with joy...if not, I can always count on him being upstairs and running downstairs with the turn of my key.
He is great and I am so blessed to have adopted him when I did. I have no children - so I do tend to shop for Bobi everytime I go out. My husband thinks its a bit over the top...but who cares...he deserves it all. :-)
I will be sure to follow-up with a picture
Thanks again for making this process pleasantly easy and rewarding
Keep up the awesome job you're doing for these animals who deserve owners as well as homes filled with love

Blondie
Hello! Great news! Blondie is now Stevie and she is doing so great! When she came to me she was so scared and withdrawn and now she has come out of her shell and has become such a playful, happy, grateful girl! She came to me with quite a bevy of health problems. I was only informed that she was blind in one eye. Upon her health exam, we found that she had an ear infection, needed her teeth cleaned BADLY as they were rotting out of her head from the tartar buildup due to the soft food she was given at the puppy mill, and after further investigation, she is mostly blind in the other eye as well. shes nice and clean now and has had her first round of revolution. Shes been scheduled for her cleaning but I wanted to wait a while as she had just been under for her spay. Stevie has just been the light of my life and seeing her grow from such a fragile state to such a happy, happy girl and be the lover that she is has just been so gratifying. This is why I love dogs so much. I always say she is just like a live teddy bear. She has picked herself out a few favorite toys (she wouldnt go near toys at first) and has some friends in our building that she just loves to death! I'm very excited to look into the cataract surgery for her maybe next spring and see if shes a candidate. She's such an amazing dog and she's given me such a gift that I'd love to give her that gift! I've attached some pictures. Thank you so much for allowing us to be together!
